About the Event

Topic

Increase Network Testing Efficiency via a Centralized Test Head Strategy

Description

Testing Ethernet circuits typically requires test equipment on either end of the service – either for loopback or bi-directional generation of test traffic. In many cases portable test equipment on either end is the best choice, but that requires two technicians. Listen in as we explain how installing remotely managed test heads at a central location makes a two-person test a one-person test. We will also discuss how our virtualized test system, Fusion, can initiate service activation tests with VIAVI instruments or virtual test agents, run performance monitoring (TWAMP), and store and analyze results. Topics covered: • Options to use as the centralized test head • “One man out” service activation use case • 5G NR/4G LTE cell back-haul performance monitoring use case
